Documenter, Chronicler, and Experimenter
I’ve always been in love with the camera. I admire the way it captures what it sees in an instant, in a snap — and in detail.
For as long as I’ve had childhood fantasies of making pictures and a desire to document my travels in this world, I have searched for a camera that shows me what I see, what I notice, what I sense. The machine calls to me.
But a camera can only show you what it sees.
When I discovered that my eyes don’t see the way a camera sees, I tried different ways of taking pictures that might show off the world that I see.

It’s a dance between the machine and me. Sometimes I lead; sometimes I follow. These images are the shapes of many dances I’ve had with a camera as I record the world and being in it.
